3 Timesaving Dental Tips for Active Families
It’s no easy task to keep a family healthy! Busy schedules make it harder for everyone to give their teeth and mouth the best care. Here’s cheat sheet for on-the-go moms and their active families.
1.) Be prepared for good oral hygiene anytime, anywhere. Keep a bag in your purse or car with toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss and sugar-free gum. When you barely have time to get everyone out the door, you’ll be thankful you planned ahead with this little dental kit.
2.) Make healthy snacks accessible. Research shows that people eat more fruits and veggies when they’re visible. Put a bowl of fruit out in the kitchen and prepare bags of sliced veggies that are easy to grab on the go. Also, keep healthy, non-perishable snacks in the car, such as unsalted nuts or seaweed snacks.
3.) Lead by example. Show your kids that you make oral hygiene a top priority for yourself. Take some time to brush and floss with them when you can. Also, be pro-active about making sure the whole family sees the dentist at least once a year.
